The course was founded in 1998 to provide quality training in Indian head massage to practitioners’ standards. The association’s certification will enable you to obtain insurance cover and is all you require to start up in practice.
You will not have to pay annual fees or gain any other accreditations to get your insurance cover, or start to practice.

Indian Head Massage Home Study Available Worldwide.
It is not always convenient for students to attend a training venue.
As Indian head massage is so simple to learn and administer, and the course manual so well structured, it is possible for students to train to the same professional standards via the “home study” option.
The course is identical to the training at the venues, the Indian Head Massage Association DVD of the technique is included free with the training material: this is a step by step demonstration of the massage techniques used.
The association’s comprehensive training manual contains all the theory taught at the venues.
You will be assigned a tutor who you can email throughout your home study training. The tutor will support you and give you extra tuition if necessary.
This support will be available until your have completed your training and received your certification.

The Indian Head Massage Association at the request of its students has produced a DVD showing the entire sequence of the massage.
Members will receive a free copy of the Indian head massage DVD.
Members are entitled to put the initials MIHMA after their name (Member of the Indian Head Massage Association).
The Member’s certificate states that they are a member of the association which gives them professional status.
Members will receive the official Indian Head Massage Association tri fold brochure on disc with the association logo on.
This brochure informs potential clients that you have trained with the association and gives an explanation of the massage.
Simply add your personal details to the brochure and you have an excellent advertisement for your business.
Members will receive a free association wall chart on disc which lists the sequence of the massage. The wall chart can be referred to during a session.
Members have also found that displaying the chart in their therapy room generates interest in the massage.
Members are permitted to use the association logo in their advertising material.
To become a life long member of the association there is a one off registration fee of £25.
